Kents Building Plastics partner with KLOC to build a new ecommerce website as part of a brand refresh.


Kents Building Plastics was established in 1989 as a specialist Plastics and PVC product supplier offering uPVC Fascias, Plastic Guttering, Plastic Roofing Sheets, PVC Skirting Boards and more.

They have Home Improvement and DIY store branches in Bristol, Hereford, Bath, Iron Acton and Newport with aggressive plans to continue expansive growth in the South West of England and Wales.


In 2015 Kents wishes to refresh their brand to reflect their evolution, vision and mission to their customers. Through a recommendation from their branding partner Barnard Scott, Kents approached KLOC to develop a new ecommerce website to reflect their new brand image.

KLOC were asked to modernise the look of their existing site, enabling Kents to stand out from their competitors. Kents wanted to improve the user experience to help visitors navigate intuitively and easily find any of the 1700 products available. Kents wished to promote products and keep web content fresh to encourage visitors to come back regularly to their site.

Kents also recognised the value of using social media effectively and with this worked with KLOC on an organic SEO strategy to improve their ratings for key searches in Google, helping to increase visitors and conversion rates, to drive online sales.

Working with a development partner who could provide ongoing support and maintenance was also of key importance to ensure the new website remained secure and performed well.


Kents went live with their new website in Autumn 2015. The website reflected their new modern, image and provided Kents’ customers with a fresh, engaging, ecommerce experience.

The CMS that was chosen provided Kents with the ability to easily promote new products and add regular news and blog content, which has led to a significant increase in return visitors.

Through implementing the SEO strategy, within 6-12 months Kents rankings and sales steadily improved. The following 12 months saw further growth with online sales surpassing Kents’ expectations and previous records, supporting Kents overall business growth with the acquisition of 3 new branches.
