The Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers (APDO) represents the UK decluttering and organising industry. Founded in 2004, it is now a thriving professional community with over 180 accredited experts across the UK.
APDO is a not-for-profit association, funded entirely by membership fees and income generated through activities including a training programme.
APDO offers training, mentoring, networking and promotion opportunities to members and supports them to develop and grow their businesses. They publish newsletters and blogs, and uses social media to promote a clutter-free lifestyle.
APDO embarked on a new website project with another web development agency in early 2015, to modernise their website, to better reflect their image and increase membership. The website was built in WordPress and integrated with a number of 3rd party services such as Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor and Mailchimp, to provide extensive functionality and services to their members.
The new website went live in September 2016 and whilst it worked, there were a number of issues causing instability of their new site. APDO approached KLOC through a recommendation with a view to helping them resolve these issues.
APDO were also keen to reduce their cost on adwords, seeking a partner to support their move to organic SEO, which they felt would be a better long-term strategy for Google rankings and for the rankings of their members profile pages.
After discussing the bugs and fixes required, KLOC worked with APDO to resolve these. APDO now has a modern, stable, functional website that fully supports their members and that they are proud of and keen to develop further.
APDO were so impressed with the service and diligence KLOC provided, they opted for a maintenance agreement with KLOC to continue enhancing and supporting their website.
